Job Description

Mivan is a dynamic and progressive specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor with a reputation for excellence and innovation. We are currently recruiting a dispatch operative to join our dispatch team. You will be responsible for providing support and assistance in the dispatch area.

Main duties:

Packing and wrapping items in preparation for dispatch and loading vans/lorries. Making pallets as required and using barcode scanners & software to label for site. Operation of forklift truck and other driving duties as required including local van pickups and drop offs. Ensuring that quality standards are met and maintained and carrying out quality checks with use of iPad application. Comply with applicable environmental and health and safety regulations, policies and procedures. Carrying out weekly vehicle checks using a mobile application and reporting any defects found. Using a mobile application to accurately record materials used in the packing process. General labouring duties including yard maintenance and tidying. Providing support within the stores area, including loading & offloading and helping load waste timber into the biomass burner. Undertake any other duties within your sphere of knowledge, experience or competency as requested.

Essential Criteria:

Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment Ability to work with minimum instruction Full clean UK driving licence Excellent communication skills Excellent organisational skills Ability to work as part of a team or on your own as and when required Experience with use of Microsoft office, using a laptop & iPad

Preferred Criteria:

Forklift licence Pallet Stacker Training Previous experience in a similar role
