ESG Drysdales are currently recruiting for Dispatch Operatives to join our existing team on site near Cockburnspath.
The Applicant
Experience with a counterbalance forklift would be beneficial. On-site refreshers will be provided for out of date licenses. We would be willing to fully train individuals on a counterbalance forklift if they have no experience but have the relevant skillset. Own transport is essential as the site has no access via public transport. An ability to do Manual Handling is essential as operatives are expected to pick orders on pallets. Heavy lifting therefore may be required. This is not just a forklift position. Must have a good attention to detail and communication skills Must be flexible with working times
The Job
4 on 4 off working schedule, full flexibility therefore required Mon-Sun 6am start time with varying finish times depending on lorries Salary - 27,649.00 per annum Holidays - 21.5 days per year
Job duties include:
Loading goods onto collection vehicles using counterbalance forklift and pallet trucks
Checking products correspond with the delivery notes
You will be picking and packing orders in the loading bay ready to dispatch
Assisting Dispatch Supervisors when necessary
Heavy lifting may be required
