What You'll Do?
As a Station Supervisor, you'll be at the heart of our station operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading and inspiring your team to deliver outstanding customer service and ensuring the safety of all passengers and staff.
Proactively assisting customers, providing real-time information, and ensuring their journey is smooth and enjoyable.
Overseeing the safe and on-time departure of trains, ensuring all dispatch procedures are followed precisely.
Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the station.
Providing strong visibility and support, ensuring customer security and resolving any issues swiftly.

About the location?
Gloucester Station is a busy, vibrant hub connecting passengers to Swindon, London, Bristol, Cardiff, and beyond. Located just a short walk from the city centre, Kingsholm Rugby Stadium, Gloucester Royal Hospital, and the picturesque Gloucester Quays, our station offers a unique working environment where you can be part of a diverse and energetic community.
Additional Information?
This role involves shift work, including weekends and bank holidays, with shifts ranging between 06:15hrs to 23:30hrs, with expectation to support the wider team outside of those hours on an ad-hoc basis. You would be part of a team of three Supervisors, working 1 in 3 Sundays and a fixed 4 day working pattern, therefore annual leave is calculated pro-rata.
You must be able to travel to and from the station outside of public transport hours.
Interviews for shortlisted candidates are tentatively scheduled for the week commencing 4th August.
What to Expect?
After submitting your application, you'll complete an online assessment (recommended on a laptop/computer).
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a Train Dispatch Multi-Tasking Test and should you be successful for a competency-based interview.
Successful applicants will need to pass a medical assessment, including a colour vision test and drug and alcohol screening, as well as a Basic DBS check.
Full training will be provided, including a 3-week training programme in Swindon.
