Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and organised Private Hire Dispatcher to join our dynamic operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating bookings, assigning jobs to drivers efficiently, and ensuring smooth communication between drivers, passengers, and the office.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, prioritise, and dispatch bookings to private hire drivers via dispatch software and phone. Monitor and track driver locations to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs. Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries and requests. Liaise with drivers to manage delays, cancellations, or route changes. Maintain accurate records of bookings, dispatch activities, and incidents. Assist in managing daily driver schedules and coverage, especially during peak periods. Handle urgent bookings and last-minute changes effectively. Communicate courteously and clearly with customers, drivers, and colleagues. Support the Operations team with administrative tasks as required. Uphold Driven Private Hire's commitment to customer service and safety at all times.

Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience as a dispatcher, controller, or in a transport coordination role preferred. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Good geographical knowledge of Leeds 17 and surrounding area. Comfortable using dispatch software, icabbi/autocabs. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
