Dispensary & Lab Assistant


Location: 608 Vet Practice, Solihull (with branch work at Acocks Green and Bentley Heath)


We are looking for a Dispensary and Lab Assistant with a strong focus on client care--a professional all-rounder who can bring flexibility and energy to support our busy 24-hour hospital in non-clinical areas.


This varied role will involve not only working behind the scenes in the dispensary and laboratory, but also directly with clients--answering queries both in person and over the phone. Ideally, you will have previous experience in a dispensing pharmacy or veterinary environment, but this is not essential. If you have excellent client care skills, a keen eye for detail, and the willingness to learn, we'd love to hear from you.

Your key responsibilities will include:



Maintaining stock levels of medications and supplies (both physically and electronically) Running blood and urine samples in-house Packing and sending external laboratory samples Training to carry out cytology and microbiology

About the role:



Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Includes some evenings and weekends on a rota basis Main practice (Solihull) open 8am-7pm; Separate dedicated team provides in-house night service (7pm-8am)
