As a Paralegal within our Dispute Resolution Department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team of experienced solicitors and handling a wide variety of contentious law matters. You will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of legal documents, conducting research, liaising with clients, and supporting with the management of case files. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and rewarding area of law.

Key Responsibilities:



Assist in the preparation of legal documents. Conduct legal research to support case development. Draft correspondence and legal documents as instructed by solicitors. Manage client communications and provide updates as necessary. Maintain and organise case files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and compliant. Attend meetings with clients, barristers, and experts when necessary. Assist with general administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and scanning legal documents. Handle confidential client information with professionalism and discretion.

Essential Skills and Experience:



A degree in law or equivalent qualification (or studying towards it). Previous experience as a paralegal, ideally within contentious law (although other legal backgrounds will be considered). Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. A compassionate and client-focused approach to legal practice.

Desirable Skills:



Legal Practice Course (LPC) or equivalent qualification (or working towards). Experience in dealing with sensitive family matters and client care.
