to join our transformed distribution/warehouse operations team in Dalkeith. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment, enjoys leading people, and has hands-on experience using Epicor or a comparable ERP/WMS (Enterprise Resource Planning/Warehouse Management System) to manage workflow, stock accuracy, and dispatch performance. You will play a key role in ensuring our distribution operation runs smoothly, efficiently and safely every day.
Duties
Lead, motivate, and support a team of warehouse and distribution operatives
Be responsible for daily picking, packing, dispatch, and goods?out processes
Use Epicor (or similar ERP) to manage orders, stock movements, and workflow
Monitor KPIs including order accuracy, dispatch times, and productivity
Ensure all orders are processed and shipped within agreed SLAs
Maintain high standards of stock accuracy through cycle counts and audits
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the distribution function
Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and company policies
Train and develop team members to achieve operational excellence
Liaise with customer service, production, and logistics teams to resolve issues
Skills and Experience
Essential
Prior experience of working in a distribution, warehousing or logistics environment
Strong working knowledge of Epicor ERP or similar systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Sage, etc.).
Ability to demonstrate proven leadership skills
Confident communicator, with the ability to lead teams and work cross?functionally.
Confident in analysing data, generating reports, and improving processes
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
A proactive, hands?on approach with a focus on continuous improvement
Strong understanding of warehouse best practices and health & safety standards
Flexible attitude and approach.
Desirable
Previous experience in a Team Leader / Supervisor role within distribution, warehousing, or logistics.

Full-time (37.5 hours): Mon-Thurs: 8:00am to 4:15pm; Fri: 8:00am to 3:00pm (Half hour unpaid lunch daily)* Based in the Dalkeith Warehouse at Thornybank, EH22 2NE
Salary: 12.21 per hour, plus weekly 52.50 Team Leader Allowance (paid monthly). Additional weekly allowances are available for those with Forklift and Hi-Racker experience: training can be provided for these.
