About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, organised and quality-focused

Egg Packing & Distribution Team Leader

to join our friendly team at Mayfield Eggs.

This is a

hands-on leadership role

in our busy egg packing centre. You will lead the packing team, plan and build the delivery loads for the next day, and step in as a delivery driver when required (for example holiday or sickness cover).

A key part of this role is

ensuring product quality and maintaining full compliance with food safety and audit standards

. We are regularly audited, and you will help make sure our packing centre always remains audit-ready.

You will report to our Egg Packing Manager, and together you will run the daily operations for egg packing and distribution.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support the egg packing team during daily operations Ensure eggs are graded, packed and labelled to the highest quality and food safety standards Create the delivery loads for the next day's routes Step in as a delivery driver when required (holiday / sickness cover) Maintain excellent hygiene, housekeeping and food safety standards Ensure the packing centre remains fully compliant and audit-ready Support the Egg Packing Manager with day-to-day operations

Requirements

Full UK driving licence (essential)

Ability to work

7:30am-5:30pm Monday-Friday

Able to reliably commute to

Barnard Gate (OX29 6XE)

Previous experience in food packing, logistics or team leadership is helpful -- but full training will be provided Physically able to carry out light/medium lifting
