Casual Car Documentation- The successful candidate will be a designated Casual Car User which means that car journeys may be necessary on an occasional basis, but are not essential to the role. If you do drive, you must always hold a full valid driving licence and provide your own car for use at work, as well as provide all the appropriate documentation. You will receive an allowance per mile of business use.
The Estates team has a key role in ensuring buildings remain operational, safe, secure, and fit for purpose to support successful delivery of public services. Estates manage around three hundred operational buildings including offices, depots, libraries, park buildings, and schools. Manchester City Council is committed to become zero carbon by 2038 at the latest, with decarbonisation work embedded into everything we do.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team managing asset replacement projects. The role is for an intelligent client (Estates). You will work with building users and the Capital Programmes team to ensure that projects are delivered successfully with minimum disruption to services. If you're successful you will join a successful estates and facilities team, pushing forward a high standard of project delivery across the city. You will help ensure public services can operate effectively, whilst helping achieve zero carbon buildings by 2038.
About the Candidate
We need someone ideally from an Estates or Facilities Management background, with project management experience. The following skills are essential:
