The

Diversionary Co-ordinator

will play a crucial role in Children's Services. The primary responsibility is to manage and deliver the Diversionary programme aimed at assessing, delivering interventions, and diverting young people aged 8-17 who are at risk of offending. This role involves working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, developing partnerships with various services, and ensuring effective delivery and monitoring of the programme



The post holder will be required to represent the service at relevant multi-agency meetings and work collaboratively with other agencies to provide effective support.


This role is Fixed Term until 31 March 2026.

All about You





We are looking for a candidate with:


Knowledge

: In-depth understanding of children's social care legislation, youth justice legislation, regulatory guidance, and safeguarding procedures. Familiarity with trauma-informed and contextual safeguarding approaches

Skills & Abilities

: Strong multi-tasking abilities, effective communication skills, and the capability to manage workloads and motivate others. Proficiency in IT and electronic case management is essential

Experience

: Significant post-qualification experience in a senior role within Criminal Justice, Youth Justice, Social Care practice, or a preventative related field. Experience in complex casework, interagency collaboration, and staff supervision is required

Qualifications

: A Social Work Diploma, Probation Diploma, or an equivalent relevant professional qualification
