A vacancy has arisen for a qualified Building Inspector based at the civic centre in Southampton.



The building control team deal with a wide range of exciting projects including multi storey housing, new educational buildings, hospitals, Industrial units, commercial projects and all types of residential development. We also deal with safety at sports grounds, dangerous structures, demolitions and have a wide portfolio of LABC partnership work.



We are looking for a fully qualified Building Inspector (MRICS or CABE) registered with the Building Safety Regulator at Class 2 (categories A - F) who can advise on a wide range of building projects including both domestic and non-domestic buildings and can deliver high levels of performance, positively influencing customers who use our services. A knowledge of the BSR Operational Rules would be an advantage.



The successful candidate will be a motivated individual with excellent IT and communication skills capable of contributing to a successful team environment.

The salary band for this role is 47,181 - 51,357. The

starting salary is 47,181

with annual progression through the salary bands.
