Pawsome Pathways provides dog walking services within Leighton Buzzard & Milton Keynes, and surrounding areas. Due to our rapid expansion and a job opening up, we are looking for a new self employed dog walker in Milton Keynes.

Work availability:

The position will consist of working in Milton keynes You will start off with 1-3 walks a day and over time as clients join your workload will increase. (starting pay of 700-1100 a month) The hours you will work will be flexible and based on the needs of the clients, however, we will work to ensure that these also suit your needs. The majority of working will be during midday 10am-14:00pm

You will be expected to be able to walk up to, and no more than, six dogs at one time. For social walks, you will need to transport the dog(s) in a vehicle safely. You will be expected to provide your own poo bags and dog treats (treats must be approved by Pawsome Pathways prior to use), but Pawsome Pathways will provide leads if required. You may be required to perform home visits, which may include animals other than dogs (if you are inexperienced with certain species, Pawsome Pathways will assist you with these). You may be required to enter homes with keys provided when owners are out. You will be self-employed under Pawsome Pathways. You will be required to work in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, wind, and sun, although some walks may be adapted due to weather conditions for the safety of dogs. You will be required to set up and manage your own rotas (we will offer training for this) You will be expected to work in all weather conditions - rain, snow, wind, sun

Person Criteria:

Desirable:

Experience working with dogs. Customer-facing experience. Qualifications relating to animal care, welfare, behaviour, or science.

Pay:

Pay will be based on how much you earn through the walks, not by hours worked. The prices for walks vary between 8 to 15 for one dog (full details can be viewed on the Pawsome Pathways website) - The more dogs you walk and larger the groups you walk, the higher your wage.

Pawsome Pathways will take (starting) 13% in royalties off of each month's pay.

Uniform:

Trainers, wellies, or boots are recommended (not supplied) for comfort and safety. Open-toed shoes are not allowed. Trousers, shorts, or skirts are acceptable, but do be mindful that dogs may jump up and you may get scratched
