Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services. Your primary focus will be to enhance the quality of life for our clients by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and mobility assistance. Develop and maintain care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring that all requirements are met. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on client progress and any concerns. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. A good understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is beneficial. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with clients and team members. Basic IT skills are advantageous for maintaining records and documentation. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients when necessary.
