Morning & Evening Care Support Worker

Location:

[Bury, Manchester].

Morning Shift:

3 hours 30 minutes (daily).

Evening Shift:

1 hour (daily).

Schedule:

7 days a week (flexibility may be required).

Reporting to:

Care Coordinator / Registered Manager.

Language

: Urdu Speakers(Prioritized).

Role Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and reliable Care Support Worker to assist a female client recovering from a recent stroke. The role involves both practical and emotional support, with a strong emphasis on mobility assistance, domestic tasks, and companionship. The client is currently non-ambulatory and requires close supervision throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:

Morning Shift (3h 30m):

Prepare nutritious Asian meals with attention to dietary needs and hygiene. Perform light domestic tasks including cleaning, tidying, and laundry. Supervise and support the client throughout the morning routine. Engage the client in conversation and companionship to promote emotional well-being. Assist with guided exercises and mobility routines as per the care plan to aid recovery. Monitor for any changes in health or mood and report concerns promptly.

Evening Shift (1h):

Support the client with tasks as directed by her personal preferences. Maintain a calm, respectful presence and respond to her requests appropriately. Ensure the environment is safe and comfortable for the night.

Essential Requirements:

Experience in stroke recovery or mobility support (preferred). Confident cooking skills with attention to hygiene and presentation. Ability to maintain a clean and organised household environment. Strong observational skills, Urdu speaking skills preferred and ability to act calmly in unexpected situations. Commitment to maintaining

professional boundaries

and respecting client autonomy.

Use of mobile phones during working hours is strongly discouraged

unless for emergency or care-related communication.

Safeguarding and Compliance:

All applicants must undergo enhanced DBS checks and provide professional references. Training in manual handling, food hygiene, and safeguarding will be provided or refreshed as needed.
