We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalised care, companionship, and assistance with daily activities.
Duties
Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Provide support with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being.
Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's care needs.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the supervising nurse or manager.
Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required.
Requirements
Previous experience in caregiving, senior care, or home care is highly desirable.
Knowledge of patient care practices, including first aid and medication administration.
Experience in nursing home settings or hospice care is an advantage.
Familiarity with Alzheimer's and dementia care techniques is beneficial.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed while assisting clients.
