Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Drain Laying Gang to join our construction team. The successful candidates will be responsible for installing,maintaining drainage systems .

The right candidate will have experience of installing Trench Boxes and working with 150mm - 450mm dia polypipe. At a depth from 1m - 3m.

This role requires physical endurance, technical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently within a team to ensure the successful completion of projects. Prior experience in drainage or related trades is advantageous, but a strong willingness to learn is essential. The position offers an excellent opportunity for those looking to develop their skills within the civil engineering sector.

Duties

Laying and connecting drainage pipes. Reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans for drainage layouts Assembling and installing pipework, fittings, and associated components with precision. Assisting with site preparation, including excavation and backfilling of trenches . Operating commercial vehicles for transporting materials and equipment to various sites. Ensuring all work areas are kept safe, organised, and clean throughout the project duration Collaborating effectively with team members to meet project deadlines Valid driving licence suitable for commercial vehicles is preferred Prior exposure to working on large-scale civil or infrastructure projects will be advantageous

Pay: 21.61 per hour
