Fusion Industrial Ltd is a leading company in the architectural metalwork industry, specializing in the design, manufacture, and installation of high-quality metal structures such as staircases, balustrades, handrails, balconies, canopies, and gates. We are CE accredited to Exc Class 2.
Position:
We are seeking an experienced Draughtsperson with a strong background in Architectural Metalwork / Structural steel.
Key Responsibilities:
To be self motivated to ensure high-quality drawings are produced on time and within project scope.
Maintain drawing office workflows, allocate work effectively, and provide technical guidance to team members. Liaise with subcontract draughtspeople and Structural Engineers should the need arise to utilise such to protect programme.
Coordinate closely with the contracts, fabrication, and estimating teams to deliver accurate and buildable models and drawings.
Ensure drawings are compliant with client specifications, engineering calculations, and industry standards.
Liaise with clients, structural engineers, and architects to resolve queries and maintain smooth project delivery.
Ensure strict checking procedures are in place.
Implement and uphold best practices for drawing production, version control.
Administering drawing issue to all parties including uploading manufacturing drawings to multiuser platforms. (such as 4 Projects).
Aiding the manufacturing and site installation team to fully understand the fabrication drawings and answer queries as they arise.
Feedback alterations to the designs that may have a cost or programme implication to the commercial manager to ensure any variations are noted and dealt with accordingly.
Requirements:
You will be a down-to-earth team player and have the ability to work under pressure and maintain output to match a design programme. You will have a keen attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
Proven experience in a detailing role within the structural steel / architectural metalwork industry.
Proficient with 3D modelling using Tekla Structures,
Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills.
Thorough understanding of fabrication and erection processes related to steel structures and architectural metalwork.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Desirable:
Formal qualifications in engineering, design, or construction-related disciplines
