Our travel assistance service is a vital service for over 900 children and adults in the borough and now is a great time to be joining our forward thinking and dynamic service. We are looking to recruit Driver Attendants to join our busy expanding team providing travel assistance for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, between their home, school, or college, together with transport to adult day care.


Your working hours will be approximately 2 hours in the morning and then a further 2 hours in the afternoon, Monday to Friday, during the school term time. You will need to enjoy driving, have empathy and patience with children and adults who have special needs and possess a polite professional manner.


You should hold a full, UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points, as you may be driving up to a 16 seat minibus, it is essential that you have category D1 on your driving licence, it would be useful if you also have a driver CPC, however, if you don't when can help you obtain this.
