We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely, ensuring timely service to our clients. This role requires a professional with strong driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication abilities. The Driver will play a vital part in maintaining our company's reputation for punctuality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Safely operate various types of commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Deliver goods to multiple locations within designated routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns before departure. Load and unload cargo, sometimes requiring warehouse experience to handle goods appropriately. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance needs. Assist with basic vehicle maintenance tasks as needed, leveraging mechanical knowledge to identify potential issues early.

Qualifications

Proven experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver, with a strong understanding of driving regulations. Valid driver's licence suitable for operating the specific type of vehicle (e.g., driver). Experience with warehouse operations and handling cargo is desirable. Mechanical knowledge to perform routine vehicle inspections and minor repairs. Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members effectively. Experience driving flatbed vehicles or similar large commercial vehicles is preferred. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple deliveries.
