Driver (Plant & Tool Equipment) Edinburgh Load head Jan 26

We're looking for a Plant & Tool Hire Driver to join our team! You'll be responsible for the safe, timely, and professional delivery and collection of plant, tools, and equipment to and from customer sites. This role requires you to be the face of YES Plant on the road, ensuring excellent customer service while handling machinery with care and following all safety standards.

Qualifications

Must hold a UK Driver License and be eligible to work in the United Kingdom. Experience in transporting plant, tools, or similar equipment (desirable), strong awareness of load security and safe driving Practises. Ability to safely operate loading equipment (e.g. ramps, trailer or tail lift). Good Communication & excellent customer service skills with a Team attitude to support colleagues & the business when busy.

The successful candidate based in the Edinburgh Depot, will undertake the following Responsibilities:

Deliver and collect equipment to/from customer sites, ensuring items arrive on time, in good condition. Demonstrate safe operation of equipment to customers where required. Provide excellent customer service, always acting as a professional representative of YES Plant. Complete relevant paperwork, pictures & signatures to confirm deliveries and collections. Safely load, secure, and unload plant and tool hire equipment (using appropriate restraints and methods). Carry out basic checks on equipment before delivery to confirm it is clean, safe, and ready for hire. Maintain vehicle cleanliness, report any defects, and ensure it complies with legal requirements. Follow all road safety and company health & safety policies. The Role is Monday to Friday 7am-5pm Salary 29,000
