GraftinGardeners Ltd is a family-run company, established in 2009. Over the years, we've grown significantly and now operate 10 full-time teams, along with a number of landscaping and gardening specialists.
We are proud of our strong reputation and are regularly contracted to work at some of the most prestigious locations across London and the surrounding areas. Our diverse client base includes housing associations, schools, construction and insurance firms, local authorities, utilities, and private residential customers.
Due to continued growth and demand, we are now looking for additional Tree Groundworkers to join our expanding team.
The Role
This position is ideal for someone with previous experience in tree work, landscaping, or gardening.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting tree climbers and arborists on the ground
Using standard gardening and tree work tools confidently and safely
Managing site safety and ensuring work is completed to high standards
Communicating with clients professionally on site
Supporting and directing other team members as needed
Performing manual tasks requiring physical fitness in all weather conditions
Essential Requirements
Full, clean UK driving licence
Right to work in the UK
Valid CSCS card (or willingness to obtain one)
Experience in a ground-based role assisting climbers or similar manual work
Reliable and punctual, with the ability to start at our Leatherhead yard by 06:30
A team player with a positive, flexible attitude
Preferred (but not essential)
Your own PPE (we can provide it if needed)
First Aid at Work +F certification
Woodchipper, stump grinder, or chainsaw tickets
Chapter 8 (signing, lighting & guarding) certification
