Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver's Mate and Installer to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will assist in the safe and efficient delivery of goods, ensuring that all items are loaded, transported, and unloaded correctly. This role requires a strong focus on teamwork, communication, and adherence to safety protocols while working alongside our drivers.

Duties

Assist the driver in loading and unloading goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and care of items. Secure loads for transport, utilising appropriate equipment and techniques to prevent damage during transit. Navigate routes effectively, providing support to the driver with directions and traffic updates as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle and warehouse area. Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all operations. Assemble and install garden furniture sets on-site according to manufacturer specifications and customer requirements. Conduct quality checks to ensure stability, safety, and proper alignment of installed items.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with basic vehicle maintenance. Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is beneficial. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and clients. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving during deliveries. Capability to work collaboratively within a team setting while also being self-motivated when necessary.
