We are seeking a dedicated and professional Driving Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching and a commitment to helping learners develop their driving skills in a safe and supportive environment. As a Driving Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality driving lessons, ensuring that students are well-prepared for their driving tests, and promoting safe driving practices.
We offer a ADP (ADI Development Program), over your first 5 years of working with us each year we will develop your skills into becoming more qualified and experienced Instructor leading to you developing a progressing your career.
Year 1
- RoSPA Advanced Driving Test
Year 2
- Level 3 in Coaching & Mentoring
Year 3
- Level 3 Award in Education & Training (AET)
Year 4
- Diploma in Coaching and Behavioural Change for Safe Driving or Fleet accreditation course
Year 5
- Promotion to Drive-Up Instructor Trainer and reduction in fees.
Responsibilities
Conduct driving lessons for learners of various skill levels, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
Prepare students for both practical and theoretical driving tests, providing comprehensive instruction on road rules and safe driving techniques.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and lesson plans, ensuring that each learner receives tailored feedback.
Ensure the vehicle is in good working condition before each lesson, conducting necessary safety checks.
Promote a positive learning environment that encourages confidence and skill development among students.
Stay updated on changes to driving regulations and best practices in driver education.
Provide support and guidance to students outside of lessons as needed, fostering a strong instructor-student relationship.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with students of all ages and backgrounds.
Patience and adaptability in teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles.
A thorough understanding of road safety regulations and driving techniques.
Ability to remain calm under pressure, especially during practical lessons.
Proficiency in using technology for lesson planning and student tracking is advantageous.
A valid driving instructor licence is essential, along with a clean driving record.
