Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Driving Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching and a commitment to helping learners develop their driving skills in a safe and supportive environment. As a Driving Instructor, you will play a crucial role in preparing students for their driving tests and instilling confidence in their abilities behind the wheel.

Responsibilities

Conduct driving lessons for learners of various skill levels, ensuring adherence to road safety regulations. Develop tailored lesson plans based on individual student needs and progress. Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their driving techniques. Monitor and assess student performance, offering encouragement and support throughout the learning process. Maintain accurate records of student progress and lesson attendance. Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with necessary instructional materials. Stay updated on changes in traffic laws and regulations to provide accurate information to students.

Qualifications

Valid Driving Instructor Licence (ADI) or equivalent certification is essential. Previous experience as a driving instructor or in a teaching role is preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and foster a positive learning environment. Patience, adaptability, and a genuine desire to help others succeed. A clean driving record with no significant endorsements or penalties. Familiarity with modern teaching methods and technology used in driver education is advantageous. Instructor Responsibilities Deliver professional, DVSA-compliant driving tuition.

Maintain a high standard of conduct, punctuality, and presentation.

Pay for fuel used during tuition in the provided vehicle.

Keep the vehicle clean, treat it responsibly, and report any issues promptly.

Hold and maintain a valid driving licence, ADI registration, and DBS clearance.

Ensure pupils are taught in line with DVSA standards and safety requirements.
The ideal candidate will be provided with a car fully insured for tuition purposes and routine maintenance will be covered. The candidate will be working on a self employed basis and responsible for their own tax keeping records. A great opportunity for a new instructor with dual controlled car provided, you'll just have to provide the fuel.
