Position Overview


We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled

Drum Teacher / Percussion Instructor

to lead an after-school

Percussion Club

at a primary school in

Croydon

. This role offers the chance to inspire children through drumming and percussion, helping them develop rhythm, coordination, confidence, and teamwork in a fun and supportive environment.

The club runs for

one hour per week, Wednesday, 3:30pm - 4:30pm

, giving children a weekly opportunity to explore percussion and enjoy making music together.

Key Responsibilities



Lead and supervise children during percussion activities in a safe and positive environment. Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate sessions that develop rhythm, coordination, and musical confidence. Encourage teamwork, self-expression, and enthusiasm for music. Communicate effectively with parents and school staff about children's progress. Ensure percussion instruments and the rehearsal space are safe, organized, and ready for use.

Experience & Skills



Experience teaching or leading percussion/drum sessions for children. Ability to engage and motivate children in a structured, fun, and creative way. Strong communication skills in English for interacting with children, parents, and school staff. A background in music education or percussion is highly desirable.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 per week

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 08/09/2025
