We're seeking compassionate and qualified professionals to provide one-to-one Mobility Training support for a student in Liverpool.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment & Planning
Evaluate the student's mobility skills, confidence level, and orientation needs
Provide one-on-one instruction in safe navigation techniques including street crossing, obstacle avoidance, and use of tactile or auditory cues
Guide the use of mobility aids (e.g., white canes, low-vision devices) as applicable
Deliver practice sessions across campus routes including classrooms, residences, common areas, and emergency exits
Teach strategies to manage varied environments (e.g., weather changes, crowds, noise)
Support emergency preparedness and teach students how to navigate to safe zones
Essential Requirements
Qualification or registration with a recognised rehabilitation body per DSA guidelines.
Meets DfE criteria for DSA-funded Mobility Training
Experience working with adults with visual impairments.
Enhanced DBS clearance
Right to work in the UK

Professionalism, punctuality, and confidentiality
Caseload management and accurate record-keeping
