Dual Registered Manager - Therapeutic Children's Homes (Runcorn and Chorley)

Salary: 55,000 - 65,000 OTE (Basic + Performance Bonus)



We are seeking an exceptional, highly strategic Dual Registered Manager to oversee two of our unique, small-scale therapeutic children's homes in the Runcorn and Chorley area.

Our Personalised, Innovative Model

We believe in doing things differently. We operate small, personal 3-bed homes, allowing us to focus intensely on the needs of children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and mild to moderate Learning Difficulties.

The Opportunity: Strategic Dual Management

As the Dual Registered Manager, you will hold regulatory responsibility for both homes, ensuring operational excellence, outstanding regulatory compliance (Ofsted), and consistency in therapeutic care standards across the cluster.

Your Core Responsibilities will include:



Strategic Leadership:

Provide strategic, high-level leadership and management across both homes, ensuring efficient operation and resource allocation.

Regulatory Compliance:

Hold the Registered Manager status for both sites, leading all regulatory inspections and maintaining an Outstanding or Good rating for both homes.

Quality Assurance:

Implement robust quality assurance systems to ensure consistent, high-quality, therapeutic care that adheres to the Children's Homes Quality Standards.

People Development:

Provide strong, motivating leadership to both Deputy Managers and staff teams, overseeing development, supervision, and maintaining a positive work culture.

Advocacy & Care:

Be a vocal advocate for the well-being of all young people across the services, ensuring personalized care plans are developed, implemented, and reviewed effectively.
What You'll Bring

Level 5 Diploma for Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare

(or equivalent) or working towards it. A minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Manager, with a demonstrable track record of achieving positive Ofsted outcomes. Experience or strong ability to manage multiple sites or manage a large complex home is highly desirable. An expert understanding of relevant legislation (Children Act 1989, Quality Standards, Ofsted Framework). A full, valid Driving Licence is essential for travel between sites.
