Armathwaite Hall Hotel and Spa is one of the Lake District's most iconic country house hotels, set on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake and surrounded by 400 acres of parkland and woodland. We are currently recruiting for a professional and capable Duty Manager to support the daily running of the hotel. This hands-on role is key to ensuring each department operates smoothly, service remains at the highest standard, and guests enjoy an exceptional experience throughout their stay.

The Role

Oversee the day-to-day operation of all departments Lead daily briefings and ensure teams are well informed and prepared Communicating daily functions effectively Be visible and proactive in welcoming guests and addressing feedback Ensure the safety and security of the hotel at all times Conduct regular property checks and report or action maintenance issues Support with Health & Safety compliance, licensing and hotel standards Step in across departments where needed, particularly during busy periods Maintain a calm, professional presence as the senior contact during your shift

The perfect Duty Manager

Previous hotel experience in a supervisory or duty management capacity A confident, hands-on approach with excellent communication skills Strong organisational skills and a proactive attitude A keen eye for detail and a passion for guest service Flexibility to support a rota that includes evenings and weekends

This role includes late/business close shifts on a rota basis. When working a late shift, you will be required to stay overnight on site. Accommodation will be provided on these occasions.

Pay: Up to 14.00 per hour
