Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? Join our front of house team as a Duty Operations Officer at Nottingham Trent University London (NTU) & step into the buzz of operational leadership.
As a Duty Operations Officer, you'll be at the heart of our university's frontline services supporting all staff, students and visitors to the University. It is a varied and active role, which requires thinking on your feet, the ability to be flexible and adaptive. You will ensure a safe and secure environment, provide exemplary customer service from the reception desk, make lightwork of administrative tasks, and support with delivering the catering and hospitality offer. If you thrive on action, love to lead from the front, and want to make an impact every day whilst learning and developing, then this role is just for you.
NTU London is a vibrant satellite university campus. We run a series of courses with an emphasis on creative technologies and regularly host events for students, partners and collaborators, and the wider community. The role will be based in and around the "Social Space"- which is the hub at the centre of the campus's operations where students, partners and university staff get to meet, socialise, network and collaborate. As Duty Operations Officer, you will provide a warm and helpful presence in this space. You will help to oversee the smooth running of the day-to-day operations including being the first point of contact for resolving immediate operational challenges as well as being the duty officer during student and commercial events.
The role will require organisation, communication, problem solving, leadership and customer service skills and may involve working shifts including evenings and occasionally weekends. Some training can be provided for role-specific tasks.
For more details, please take a look at the role profile. We'll still consider applications even if you don't meet every single one of the requirements, so don't be put off if you don't match them perfectly. To ensure the diverse needs of our team are met we actively encourage secondments and offer flexible part-time working patterns - we're focused on finding the right person for the role.
