Duty Solicitor - Criminal Defence

We are a criminal defence firm based in Gloucestershire, with legal aid work at the heart of what we do.

Due to increasing demand, we are looking to recruit at least one Duty Solicitor. This is an excellent opportunity for a criminal defence solicitor who values high-quality advocacy, autonomy, and genuine flexibility in how they work.

The Role

The successful candidate will undertake the full range of criminal defence work, including:

Police station representation (including out-of-hours rota work). Magistrates' Court advocacy, including trials. Case preparation and client care across legal aid matters.
You will have the opportunity to run your own cases with appropriate support, within a firm that understands the realities and pressures of criminal legal aid practice.
