Job Opportunity: Dyslexia Assessor

Background

Neurodiversity Diagnostic Services (NI) Ltd, wish to appoint a Dyslexia Assessor as part of our diagnostic team.

In partnership with Neurodiversity UK, we offer support for people living with neurodevelopmental outcomes, to help improve their lives and those of their families

If you are passionate about working with children, young people and young adults; can deliver high-quality clinical assessments and support families who care for someone with neurodiversity, we would love to hear from you.

Key functions of the role:

Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments for dyslexia and dyscalculia using established tools and frameworks.

Provide detailed written reports that meet professional and legal standards.

Maintain a professional understanding of contemporary diagnostic criteria and best practices.

Work with both children and adults in assessing a variety of developmental disorders.

Participate in team discussions and contribute to case reviews.

Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation in line with company guidelines.

Requirements:

Doctorate in dyslexia and/or dyscalculia assessment and support.

Active AMBDA membership of the British Dyslexia Association.

Experience of working with children, young people, and families.

Skills in psychological assessments, interventions, and risk management

Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team

Ability to manage a caseload effectively while maintaining high standards of care.

Compassionate, patient and dedicated to providing excellent client care.

Additional information

The successful candidate will be engaged on a sub-contractor/freelance basis and any offer of engagement will not constitute an 'offer of employment'.

The role of Dyslexia Assessor may require some evenings and weekend appointments and all assessments will be conducted at our offices in Comber.
