Nursery Nurse, Early Years Practitioner

Description

We require qualified and experienced minimum level 3 or equivalent will be considered. Full Time or 4 days per week. Need to have worked with the EYFS curriculum, in a childcare or school setting. We provide care and development for children from 12 weeks old to 5 years, in a safe, stimulating & enabling environment.

About the role:

To assist the Room Leader/Nursery Manager in leading a team of nursery workers who will maintain the smooth day to day running of Immanuel's Day Nursery. Be committed to working professionally, and responsibly, as an individual and as a member of a team.

Duties:

Supervising children during meal times, feeding children where applicable, toilet training, changing nappies, comforting children if distressed and to encourage children to rest when necessary. Ensuring children are kept clean at all times, children's noses wiped, clean faces, hands and clothes. To ensure routines, activities, assessments and observations are completed daily. To follow all childcare and health and safety policies and procedures promoting personal hygiene with all age groups. To participate in ensuring the base room is kept clean and tidy at all times.

Skills and experience:

Have NVQ 3 or above Have post qualifying experience with children ages 0-5 years old Have organisational skills Good communication skills Have good teamwork Be reliable Be responsible Have commitment Be friendly Caring Have high work standards Be physically fit e.g. able to lift and bend down Have a solid knowledge of the EYFS Have an up-to-date Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and Food Hygiene Need a clear and valid DBS - oversee applicants will need a clear and valid certificate of good conduct Be flexible with start and finishing times Be a team-player who is enthusiastic
