We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. You will be responsible for implementing educational programmes that promote the development of children in their early years, ensuring their safety and well-being while encouraging their curiosity and creativity.
Duties
Manage daily activities and routines to create a structured environment conducive to learning.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and ensure a collaborative approach to education.
Demonstrate leadership skills by guiding and mentoring junior staff and volunteers within the nursery setting.
Plan and deliver engaging educational activities that cater to the diverse needs of children, focusing on early childhood education principles.
Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback and support to enhance their development.
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all children, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and respect for diversity within the nursery.
Experience
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required to effectively engage with children and families.
Experience in managing groups of children while demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding is crucial.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing situations will be beneficial.
