Rainbow Day Nursery School Ltd has been present in our local community for nearly four decades and we are very proud and committed to providing a fun, happy and safe environment for children aged 0-5 years.

Located in an unrivalled area, across from Poole Park and next to the Dolphin shopping centre and gym, which is also easily accessible by all travel routes including car, train and bus.

We are now looking to expand our team, and we are looking to find the right person to join our home away from home environment.

The Nursery is open 51weeks of the year 8am-6pm. We are looking for a dedicated Qualified Practitioner to work 8 Hour Shifts in between the opening hours of the setting equalling 40hours per week. Each day you will get a 1-hour lunch break which you can use our facilities in our staff room or head over the road to Poole Park or down to the shopping centre or surrounding areas.

Our three main rooms have been thoughtfully designed to inspire children to explore and investigate for their different age ranges. Each room has its own garden offering children large outdoor spaces to play and develop as well as this we often take trips around our local community due to our convenient location in the heart of Poole.

The ideal candidate needs to be:



Level 3 or above

early years education and childcare qualification or equivalent

All candidates will be required to complete an enhanced DBS

Have a willingness to learn and undertake further training.

A fun individual who doesn't mind getting messy and can think out of the box.

Have a good sense of humour.

Enjoy working within a team and be confident to make suggestions for improvements where necessary.

Good organisational skills.

Good reporting and communication skill.

Overview


We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our nurturing nursery environment. This role is pivotal in fostering a safe, stimulating, and engaging atmosphere where children can thrive and develop essential skills.

Responsibilities



Create and implement engaging educational activities that promote learning through play. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to each child's development. Manage daily routines, ensuring that the nursery environment is safe, clean, and conducive to learning. Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff and volunteers within the nursery setting. Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and areas for improvement. Drive initiatives that enhance the quality of care and education provided to the children. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements related to early years education.

Qualifications



A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience in childcare settings is essential. Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar environment is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while promoting a positive learning environment. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to inspire others. A genuine passion for early years education and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
