The successful candidates needs a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification and must be able to plan, lead and engage in exciting learning opportunities inside and outside.
If successful you will be expected to fulfil the role of a Keyworker and Educator, planning for a Teaching Group and supporting Early Years Practitioners in the learning environment.
You need to be confident to establish parent partnerships and meet the needs of children by providing rich and varied opportunities linked to their interests, developing play and having fun along the way!
Key aspects of the role include:
To safeguard and promote the welfare of all children
To plan and provide activities and rich environments which extend your Teaching Group's interests/focus area of learning inside and outside
To teach children by leading activities
Teach in the moment, responding to children's daily interests and ideas, in an age appropriate manner
Differentiate opportunities for full Teaching Group
Fulfil planning cycle using electronic learning stories
Lead parent partnership initiative

Desirable qualities include Paediatric First Aid training and basic Makaton skill, however all statutory training and opportunities to complete further stand alone professional development units can be provided for free to Flying Start staff.
