We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Years Level 3 Learning Support Assistant to join our educational team. This is to cover a maternity leave. This role involves working closely with children, including those with special educational needs, to support their learning and development within a nurturing environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering inclusive education and ensuring each child's individual needs are met effectively. Duties
Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning activities to children with diverse needs, including those with autism and disabilities.
Support children's social and emotional development through positive interaction and encouragement.
Provide one-on-one assistance to children requiring additional help, including toddlers and young learners.
Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behavioural strategies under the guidance of teaching staff.
Supervise children during classroom activities, breaks, and outings to ensure safety and engagement.
Support with classroom organisation, including preparing materials and maintaining a clean learning environment.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to promote consistent support for each child's progress.
Assist in behaviour management strategies to foster a respectful and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Skills
Proven experience working with children, particularly in early years settings.
Strong teaching abilities with the capacity to adapt methods to meet individual learning needs.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
Compassionate approach combined with patience and understanding of diverse behavioural and developmental needs.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative when supporting learners individually.
Organised and reliable, capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a busy educational environment.
