We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support Early Years Foundation Stage children at Primary Schools in South Yorkshire.
Successful candidates will have a Full and Relevant Level 3 qualification
to satisfy school ratios, and will work closely with teachers and children to foster a positive learning environment, encouraging development and engagement. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about childcare, management, and leadership in educational settings. The Teaching Assistants will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, supporting children's learning, and ensuring their safety and well-being.
Duties
Assist teachers in delivering engaging educational activities tailored to early childhood development.
Support children with their daily routines, including meal times, play, and rest periods.
Foster a nurturing environment that promotes social skills, independence, and confidence among children.
Manage classroom resources and organise materials needed for activities.
Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring safety at all times.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to support individual needs and progress.
Support behavioural management strategies to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
Drive organisational initiatives to enhance the overall learning experience.
Experience
Previous experience working with children in childcare settings or nursery environments is essential.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
Demonstrated management and leadership skills within educational or childcare contexts.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Experience with children who have diverse needs or behavioural challenges is advantageous.
