Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. As a Nursery Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in a nurturing environment, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting their development through engaging activities.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive and responsive care to children aged 0-5 years in a nursery setting. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that foster learning and development. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and playtime, ensuring a structured environment. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children's needs. Observe and assess children's progress, documenting milestones and sharing updates with parents. Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating nursery environment that promotes exploration and creativity. Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive atmosphere that respects diversity. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills in early childhood education.

Experience

Previous experience in childcare or a nursery setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with children and parents. Leadership qualities are an advantage, as the role may involve guiding less experienced staff or volunteers. A valid driving licence is beneficial for potential transportation needs related to nursery activities or outings.
