Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and education to young children, fostering their development and ensuring their well-being in a safe and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive and responsive care to children, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children's emotional needs. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities, ensuring a structured yet flexible environment. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform planning and share with parents. Collaborate with team members to create a positive atmosphere that encourages teamwork and professional development. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery environment, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use.

Requirements

Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children and families. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanour in a busy environment. Leadership qualities that inspire confidence in both children and colleagues. A genuine passion for childcare and the development of young children. A valid driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
