The Role

As an Operations Assistant at kinderzimmer UK, you will play a vital role in ensuring our nurseries maintain consistently high standards across multiple sites. You'll support the Director of Operations with a range of tasks, working closely with nursery teams to drive quality, uphold compliance, and create inspiring environments for children to thrive.

We're looking for an early years professional with operational experience and a hands-on mindset. Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, field-based role and is passionate about delivering excellence for children, families, and teams.

Essential Requirements

A minimum of Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent At least 2 years' experience in an operational or leadership role within early years settings (e.g., Room Leader, Deputy, Manager) Working knowledge of the EYFS and current Ofsted statutory guidance Strong organisational and administrative skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, staff, and families Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, fast-paced team Calm, caring nature with a positive attitude and a flexible approach Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards Commitment to safeguarding and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

What You Will Be Doing

Visiting multiple nursery sites regularly to support the smooth running of operations and maintain high standards Assisting the Director of Operations with delegated tasks, ensuring they are completed accurately and on time Conducting operational walkarounds with nursery leadership teams to identify priorities and support improvement Monitoring staff-to-child ratios and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements Supporting nursery leadership teams during compliance challenges or inspections Helping to foster positive relationships with teams, children, and families in line with kinderzimmer UK values Assisting with recruitment activities, including interviewing and assessing potential new team members Supporting team development initiatives and training days Ensuring all staff understand and adhere to nursery policies and procedures, promoting quality childcare and safeguarding Reporting on operational issues and contributing ideas for continuous improvement Undertaking other reasonable duties as required to support the growth and success of the organisation
