We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Room Leader to join our nurturing Baby Room team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a safe and stimulating environment for young children, promoting their development and learning through engaging activities. As a Room Leader, you will play a crucial role in shaping the early experiences of children, ensuring their wellbeing and supporting their growth in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Responsibilities
Create and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that encourage children's curiosity and creativity.
Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that promotes positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their development and adapting activities accordingly.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
Manage classroom behaviour in a positive manner, using appropriate strategies to support children's social skills.
Collaborate with other educators to share best practices and enhance the overall quality of care and education provided.
Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the nursery setting.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment that meets health and safety standards.
Qualifications
A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (Level 3 or above).
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or educational setting is highly desirable.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire both children and colleagues.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to manage time effectively while balancing multiple responsibilities.
A genuine passion for working with young children and understanding their developmental needs.
Knowledge of the EYFS framework is advantageous.
A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential.
