We are currently recruiting experienced and dynamic Early Years Practitioners to join us in our beautiful nursery in the heart of Bath.
Guinea Lane Nursery is conveniently located a stone's throw from the city centre of Bath and is within walking distance of all its amenities. The nursery is on the Lansdowne Park and Ride bus route and a 2-minute walk from stops Belvedere or Alfred Street
We are looking for practitioners who have the passion, enthusiasm, and professional skills to work within a team of early years practitioners in delivering a play-based curriculum, that supports each child's learning and development.
The successful candidate(s) will help shape & lead the high-quality childcare & education that we provided for the families who attend our nurseries.
Location
Our nursery is set in an architecturally beautiful building - St Mary's Hall, in the heart of Bath, opposite Hedgemead Park.
Registered for 58 children aged 3 months - 5 years, the newly refurbished interior is bright and airy. The rooms have glass panelling that ensures all our children can see and be seen, beyond the room they are in and we are blessed with light and space.
Early Years Practitioner - About the role:
The nursery delivers the Early Years Foundation stage through a purely child centred approach.
Our planning for each child is carried out in the moment and is based on award winning Anna Ephgrave's approach of 'planning in the moment'.
This play based approached is based on children's interests and supports children to become deep independent thinkers and problem solvers, rather than being passive participants in their own learning. Our ethos also supports all our children's important life skills, for example serving their own meals.
Our nursery is fully inclusive, the manager works closely with practitioners, parents, and other agencies to ensure that all children regardless of their needs and/or disabilities are offered a high-quality experience at nursery providing the most appropriate care and learning to support individual development.
In order to be successful in this Early Years Practitioner role you should have:
Experience in a similar nursery role
Experience of working with children under 2 would be desirable.
Experience of working with children with additional needs would be desirable.
A passionate enthusiasm for Early Years and thriving with working within a team.
A level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years is essential

Responsibilities
Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that cater to the individual needs of children.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships.
Manage classroom behaviour using positive reinforcement techniques.
Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents as necessary.
Collaborate with other educators and staff to ensure a cohesive approach to early years education.
Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism and enthusiasm in all interactions.
Maintain accurate records of children's development and activities in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Experience
A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential.
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or educational setting is highly desirable.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, particularly in English.
A proactive drive to create an engaging learning environment that encourages exploration and curiosity among young learners.
Knowledge of childcare regulations and best practices within early years education is advantageous.
