We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic room Leader to oversee daily operations within our pre-school room. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education. As a room Leader, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children, and role modelling a positive learning environment. This role requires excellent communication skills in English and the ability to drive initiatives that support both children and staff development.
Responsibilities
Supervise and manage daily activities within the nursery, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Lead a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that cater to the needs of children at various developmental stages.
Monitor children's behaviour and provide appropriate interventions when necessary.
Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, incidents, and other relevant information.
Collaborate with other staff members to create a nurturing environment that promotes learning through play.
Drive initiatives that enhance the overall quality of care provided in the nursery.
Requirements
Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
A genuine passion for working with children and understanding their developmental needs.
Ability to drive initiatives that promote a positive learning environment.
Previous experience in a nursery setting is highly desirable but not mandatory.
A relevant qualification in early childhood education or childcare is preferred but not essential.
