We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity to join our wonderful team at Little Harriers Lavant as a Room Manager to lead one of our rooms.

We are a welcoming nursery set in the beautiful West Sussex countryside. We are so very fortunate to have our own Woodlands onsite for our Forest School sessions, we also provide Beach School sessions and many other outings.

The site also boasts ample outdoor space providing many learning opportunities for the children. There are animals onsite which the children can visit and beautiful open green spaces for the children to access.

The ideal candidate will be qualified in early years education to at minimum level 3.

The post entails working within the nursery setting meeting the individual needs of the children and helping to educate the children from young babies up to 4 years old.

We are a family run, 3 times outstanding nursery seeking an applicant who is passionate about childcare. We are looking for someone who is qualified and has experience with running a room within an early years setting.

Our nursery boasts onsite woodlands with a qualified Forest School Leader, small groups and a family run nursery.

We are looking for someone passionate about high quality childcare and someone who enjoys being outside.

The position is based on three todays per week of shifts 7:50am-6:00pm all year round working alongside another Room Manager as a joint role, this may suit a candidate ready for progression that has previous experience working as an early years practitioner.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

To be involved with the planning of Early Years Foundation Stage planning in your room, ensuring it is up-to-date and followed each day.

To provide developmentally appropriate activities for the children in your care, considering and respecting Montessori philosophy and activities at all times.
To ensure the individual needs of the children in your care are recognised and met.
To liase and work with all parents in a professional manner at all times. To talk appropriately and professionally.
To support and work with other staff members.
To work in a non-discriminatory way in keeping with the equal opportunities policy of the setting.
To keep confidential any information which relates to the children, families or other staff members.
To undertake all duties as specified by your Room Manager and/ or Manager.
To ensure that clean and hygienic standards are maintained at all times.
To ensure all relevant information between staff and parents is communicated to the Manager at all times.
To be familiar with all policies and procedures, and ensure they are followed at all times.
To ensure all tasks and assignments set by training provider are completed within the set time frame.
