Overview of the setting

Wombles Pre 5 Centre is a partnership nursery, funded by South Lanarkshire Council, providing care and education for children aged 3-5. Our nursery is located within Hunter Primary School in East Kilbride, and we operate on a term-time basis. We have a small, dedicated and hardworking team and are looking for a support worker to join us.

Overview of the role

In this role, you will assist with the daily running of the nursery and provide care and support to the children. Working alongside our other qualified practitioners, you will help provide meaningful interactions, play experiences and maintain a safe and clean environment.

Responsibilities

Support children to participate in learning experiences Provide care and support to children in the setting Assist staff and children during the busy transitions throughout the day (i.e. lunchtime, gym time, outdoor play, hometime, etc.) Support with daily administrative tasks

Skills

Experience working in a nursery environment is desirable A minimum of an HNC in Childcare (or similar) is essential A caring and nurturing individual A team player who can work with others and communicate effectively Uses intuition to complete tasks in a timely manner A reliable and enthusiastic individual
