Crickets Montessori Nursery School is looking for an Early Years teaching assistant whose passion for young children shines through. They will be creative, imaginative, playful and most importantly have a great sense of humour, both with the children and with the wonderful, dedicated team already established. At Crickets, we integrate a multitude of activities into the children's learning, such as music & drama, cooking, science and languages, so someone with extra skills in their back pocket and the ideas to expand the children beyond the curriculum, is a bonus. They should have a sound understanding of the EYFS and good written / spoken English.
At Crickets, children are admitted between 2 - 5 years and follow a carefully structured programme of education based on the Montessori Method. The experience gained in this exciting environment, gives children a firm foundation for the next stage of schooling. Our aim is to provide a safe, happy and caring environment in which each child develops at their own pace to reach their full potential. We are an Outstanding nursery school that was established in 2004 by Celia Stephenson. In 2011, Crickets moved to our beautiful new building in Chatsworth Road NW2 overlooking Brondesbury Bowling Green.
The position is part time Monday - Friday 8.00am - 1.00pm starting in November 2025. It is term time only and may suit someone who is eventually looking to train further to become a classroom teacher. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful candidate will be required to have a clear DBS check and provide two references from previous employers. They must be eligible to work in the UK and be resident.
Salary is competitive and will be discussed at interview stage.
