About Us



To assist the teacher in the delivery of the curriculum and general management of the classroom.


KEY TASKS





To assist the teacher by supporting the children with activities in class and contributing to assessment and record keeping.

To assist the teacher in the supervision of children to ensure standards of work and behaviour are maintained.

To assist the teacher in helping children to make progress in their learning both in group situations and on their own by, for example:

pre-teaching essential skills clarifying and explaining instructions ensuring children are able to use equipment and materials provided motivating and encouraging children as required helping children to concentrate on and finish work set in liaison with the class teacher devising learning activities photocopying, duplicating and making teacher and pupil resource materials on occasion basic help in arranging displays of work on occasion

4.The establishment of a supportive relationship with the children.



5. Setting up teaching materials in a classroom as directed by the class teacher.



6. Leading interventions in groups and individually.



7. Attending and contributing to regular planned staff/TA meetings and in-service sessions.



8. Any other duties which reasonably fall within the remit of the post, which may be allocated by the headteacher after consultation with the post holder.

We are a small, friendly infant school looking for a motivated team player who can place children at the heart of what they do to support their learning.



The position is permanent from 4th September 2025 for up to five 6.25 hour days a week (including 1.25 hours a day of midday meal supervision), with a KS1 or reception class. Please specify when applying how many days a week you are able to work.

The hourly rate for the position, which is term time only, is 12.45 (pay award is pending.).



Our school is currently part of the Greenfields Federation with Northolmes Junior School. From 1st September 2025 we will be merging with Northolmes Junior School to form a new all-through soon-to-be-named primary school. We expect to remain on the Littlehaven site until September 2026 when we anticipate moving to the Northolmes site.
