Title: Ecology Lead

Location: Grangemouth

Salary: \xc2\xa350,000 + (negotiated based on experience)

My client is looking to bring in a Lead Ecologist to oversee their current ecology unit, develop their skillset and run all ecology projects focussing on Rail, Renewables & Development. Their dedicated ecology, environmental management, and contaminated land teams play a crucial role in comprehensive and integrated engineering and environmental solutions.

Qualifications

• A bachelor\'s degree or equivalent in ecology or a related discipline is required.
• A minimum of 12 years of experience in a relevant role (e.g. Environmental Consultancy).
• Extensive experience working in a similar role within the ecology, nature, conservation, and biodiversity discipline.
• In-depth knowledge of legislation relating to Ecology amongst surveying techniques and licensing mitigation.
• Membership of a professional institution e.g. CIEEM.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations and manage a variety of multidisciplinary projects.
• Manage the Ecology team and seek out new prospects in ecology for IKM, aligned with strategic objectives.
• Develop fee ideas and oversee budgets for the ecology team\'s workload.
• Communicate with other Discipline Principals.
• Oversee the internal development and technical capabilities of the Ecology team.
