Join Our Team at Dalston Mill Fabrics - Ecommerce Assistant

Dalston Mill Fabrics is a proudly family-run business with over 40 years of experience in the textiles industry. We've built a trusted name in our community, and now we're expanding our reach online, offering cut-length fabrics directly to makers, hobbyists, designers, and crafters across the UK. As our online store continues to grow, we're looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our ecommerce team.

What You'll Be Doing

Customer Support:

Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, offering friendly, efficient support with product questions and order issues.

Product Management:

Help upload new products to the website, including taking product photos and editing images (no photography experience needed - we'll show you the ropes).

Website Maintenance:

Regularly check for errors and suggest improvements to ensure the site runs smoothly and looks great.

Stock Organisation:

Support the warehouse team with stock management, including inventory checks.

Hands-On Support:

Occasionally assist with packing orders, printing courier labels, or other warehouse tasks when the team is busy or short-staffed.

What We're Looking For

A positive, friendly attitude and a genuine passion for great customer service. Confidence speaking on the phone and writing clearly and professionally. Interest in ecommerce and a willingness to learn what makes a great online shopping experience. Solid computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office (Excel in particular). An eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. A proactive, can-do approach - someone who's happy to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.

Pay: 25,000.00-28,000.00 per year
