Mabel & Fox - E-commerce Assistant



Mabel & Fox might be small, but we certainly pack a punch! We are a rapidly growing independent online retailer specialising in Baby & Toddler essentials. Based in South Norwich and established by a Mum on maternity leave in 2015, we have since grown rapidly and have an amazing team of 18 working from our Warehouse & Offices in Mulbarton & Ashwellthorpe. Due to recent growth, we are now looking for a talented and self-motivated individual to join our successful business.

The key responsibilities of the positioned are outline below:

E-commerce Responsibilities:



New product listings

?- Creating and uploading new products to the Mabel & Fox website by taking basic information from suppliers and creating compelling and SEO-friendly product descriptions.

SEO optimization

- Working with Google Merchant and analytics to boost SEO on all products, updating meta fields.

Collection Maintenance

- Updating and refreshing 'new in', 'bestsellers' and 'back in stock' collections daily.

Product listing maintenance

- Ongoing improvement of product listings including image resizing, updating Metafields and description tabs.

Product Cross Selling

- Using our Shopify App to cross sell new and existing products.

Production Promotion

- working closely with the Social Media team to help identify products to promote, whilst providing all brand assets, descriptions and specifics for these products.

Brand management

- all content, communication, products, events, sub-brands, and stylistic/imagery elements.

Google Merchant

- Update, optimize google shopping listings

Inventory Management

- Working closely with warehouse manager to ensure all deliveries and stocks arrive and all stocks added to the website and checked.

Drop ship maintenance

- Regularly updating drop ship products prices, stock availability.

Sample Sale

- Organise and list sample sale products.

Experience & Skills Required:



The successful candidate will have some experience in a similar role, ideally with an online retailer. In addition, the following skills are prerequisite for a successful candidate:

Excellent literacy skills, with a strong grasp of the English language and ability to write with fluency, punctuation and creativity. A strong eye for detail. I.T literate; must be able to operate Microsoft Office programs including Excel. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt to working with new software applications too. Ability to work to tight deadlines to ensure products are listed on our website in a timely manner. Ability to work in a methodical way, managing your own time to ensure you keep on top of workload. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well within a dynamic team environment. An excellent work ethic, a can-do attitude, proactive with a desire to learn. Working SEO knowledge is advantageous (not essential as training can be given). Experience with the web platform Shopify is a big plus. A keen interest and understanding of the Baby & Toddler industry is advantageous.

The position is a full-time, permanent position, with office hours? 9-5pm Monday to Friday.



You must be able to reliably commute to both our Mulbarton and Ashwellthorpe (South of Norwich).
